501 C(3) Non-profit Organization
Celebrating unsung heroes in Franklin County and supporting local businesses along the way.
About
At 15 years old, I founded Helping the Hardworking - Franklin County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with a mission to celebrate and support the hardworking individuals in my community. In a world where hard work often goes unnoticed, my goal is to shine a spotlight on those who show up every day with unwavering determination and dedication. I raise funds to purchase gift cards from local small businesses. Around the holidays I distribute these gift cards to ten deserving individuals nominated by our community. Here’s how I make it happen: I raise money through self-addressed envelopes, community fundraisers, and a GoFundMe page. Every dollar goes directly into supporting local businesses and rewarding hardworking individuals. Each year, around the holiday season, anyone can fill out a form to nominate someone they believe embodies the spirit of hard work and perseverance. I use the donations I raised to purchase ten $20 gift cards from various local businesses. We then carefully select ten of the most deserving nominees and gift them $200 in small business gift cards. This initiative is more than just a charitable act—it's a celebration of the dedication and grit that often goes unnoticed. It's about supporting our local economy and acknowledging those who make a difference in our community every single day.

What are pop-up events?
At Helping the Hardworking - Franklin County, we believe in giving back to those who make our community a better place, and our pop-up events are a fun, tangible way to do just that. These events are designed to support local businesses while showing appreciation for the hardworking individuals who go above and beyond every day.
During our pop-up events, we partner with local bakeries, restaurants, and other small businesses to provide free meals or treats to community heroes—teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, and anyone else nominated by the community as deserving of a little extra recognition.
Here’s how it works:
We purchase food and beverages from local businesses, ensuring that every dollar spent supports our community’s small businesses.
The food or treats are then given out for free to those who work tirelessly to make our community a better place.
Each month, the focus may change depending on who we’re honoring, whether it’s teachers in September, healthcare workers in the spring, or first responders throughout the year.
These pop-up events are more than just a free meal—they’re a celebration of community spirit and a chance to support local businesses while spreading kindness. It’s our way of saying "thank you" to the people who put in the hard work that often goes unnoticed.
Stay tuned for announcements about our next pop-up event, and join us as we continue to spread the love and support in Franklin County!
